BRAYSTONES BEACH SHOP

 To menu page

This page is likely to grow quite a lot as the beach bungalows project develops, because the little shop which used to be tucked in below the ramp up to Braystones railway station had quite a long and complex history.

To begin with, however, here's a 1937 photo supplied by Tom Dalzell, whose family used to visit the bungalow 'Latona', a short walk to the north, very frequently in the 1930s and 1940s (NB: Tom was a bit too young to appear on this photo himself). You can find some of Tom's memories of the shop on the ''Latona' page.
