The former railway to Alexandra Palace

Summer* 1980

This odd selection of pictures, taken on an impulsive detour from Archway Road in London along what's now called the "Parkland Walk", is included here to show why it's important to keep records at times of change. Without reference to earlier material, these images are just cryptic clues, sources of as much mystery as information.

* But, as locals may have guessed, not August.

PS: I'm not, of course, the only photographer to have wandered round north London looking at bits of old railway.
See, for example, Peter Wright's site.
